Roxanne is happy to speak to adult audiences about both the business of writing and writing for kids. She also offers professional development sessions for teachers that highlight using picture books in the classroom (at all grade levels) and developing pain-free, creative activities to get kids excited about writing.
She has presented both virtually and in-person at schools, bookstores, conferences, and writing groups. Recently, she was a featured speaker at School Library Journal's 2023 Spring Day of Dialog. As an active member of SCBWI, she co-leads her local Connect and volunteers at Colorado's annual Letters and Lines Conference as "Grants and Speaker Shepherd Coordinator." She mentors other writers through the Michele Begley Mentorship program, and also serves as a volunteer judge at Rate Your Story critiquing dozens of author manuscripts each year. In her spare time, Roxanne pens picture book reviews at Goodreads with Ronna. |
