Roxanne Troup writes kid's books that celebrate wonder and family. With a background in education, she also writes engaging nonfiction for all ages.
Roxanne lives in the mountains of Colorado and enjoys hiking with her family, cheering at her kid's sporting events, and reading a good book. She loves to visit schools to water seeds of literacy and teach about writing. (And sometimes remembers to water the plants in her own garden.)

Fun Facts: |
1) Roxanne grew up in a historic home, surrounded by farmland and legends. In the late 1800s, her childhood home was often visited by members of the James-Younger gang. Today, its full of stories about hidden passageways, underground tunnels, and false floors.
2) She's always had a vivid imagination. As a child, Roxanne sometimes couldn't tell if she was awake or dreaming, and after one vivid dream, attempted to fly. (It didn't work out well.) 3) Roxanne discovered a love for reading the summer she broke her neck in an accident (completely unrelated to the flying incident). 4) Besides reading and family, Roxanne loves: interior design, gardening, and singing. (And good-quality chocolate. Can't forget the chocolate.) 5) She is afraid of octopuses and falling. 6) Roxanne taught preschool until her kids were born. Today, she and her husband own 5 small businesses. |
