Roxanne Troup is an incredible speaker and educator. She runs her workshops seamlessly, entertaining and educating students with unique activities that deepen their understanding of writing and revising. Bringing industry experience to the table, Roxanne’s information is relevant and inspires student-writers to think about their future careers. I highly recommend her for writer’s workshops and author visits!

Becoming a Writer was a great fit for our 3rd-5th grade students. Roxanne was prepared, purposeful, and personable. The workshop was tailored to the standards and engaging to the students. I've never seen them have so much fun writing! Roxanne also did a presentation for our younger students titled “Writing with the Senses”. It was perfect for our primary grades. The workshop was well-paced and well-planned with activities building to the final writing, which was amazing! Roxanne had instant rapport with the students and great classroom management skills. Students are still talking about their experience!

Roxanne joined my fourth grade classroom as an "Author in Residence." She worked with at-risk and regular classroom students building their reading and writing skills. She was always willing to jump in and help where needed, and the students looked forward to the days she would be in the classroom to work with them. It was wonderful having her share her expertise in writing!

Roxanne did a great job engaging my students and reinforcing their learning. They had fun relaying information through real-life examples and got to put what they learned immediately into their writing. We will be practicing "writing with our senses" throughout the rest of the year in as many exciting way as we can!
